Feral Cat Taskforce

WONA currently has an overpopulation of feral cats.  This likely started when the Winchester Mobile Home park was demolished, and the uncontrolled population started multiplying and scattering to our streets.  If we don't take action now, the cat population could double or triple over the next few years.

There have been several WONA neighbors that have had success with the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) approach. However, many shelter TNR programs are either on pause or extremely limited.

If you're interested in learning about the benefits of TNR, please click here.

We need to build a network of residents that are willing to help these cats.  Our first step is to see who is interested in helping, and then hold a meeting to discuss a plan of action.

ACTION:  If you're interested in helping, or have experience with TNR, please join our WONA Cat Club community on NextDoor.  We will communicate our first meeting via the community, and use it as a way to keep in touch with each other as we build our WONA cat program.

Thank you!
